Math question

hero (hero):

Do you have a possible answer for this one? If so, remember to also show your work you did to arrive at your result.

OpenStudy (vera_ewing):

I'm pretty sure it's D. I graphed it and it passes through (-2,4)

OpenStudy (lynfran):

yes D.. but here how i work it...\[-7y=-14x+1\]\[y=\frac{ -14x }{ -7 }-\frac{ 1 }{ 7 }\]\[y=2x-\frac{ 1 }{ 7 }\]so ur slope=2 and since perpendicular \[m _{1}*m _{2}=-1\]where \[m _{1}=2\]now substituting that we get \[2m _{2}=-1\]\[m _{2}=\frac{ -1 }{ 2 }\]now using given point (-2,4 )|dw:1442170139078:dw|
