Let u = <3, -1>, v = <-6, -6>. Find 9u + 2v.

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

You have `u = <3, -1>` to get `9u`, you simply multiply each component of `u` by `9` : `9u = 9<3, -1> = <27, -9>`

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

Based on that, see if you can guess what `2v` would be..

OpenStudy (anonymous):

-12, -12?

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

Excellent!

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

`9u = 9<3, -1> = <27, -9>` `2v = 2<-6, -6> = <-12, -12>` Now, I'm pretty sure can you guess what `9u+2v` should be..
