This is an easy problem but is this a trick question? The cost of producing x units of a product is C dollars, where C is given by the function C = 0.25x2 - 80x + 300. What is the cost if no units are produced? A) $0 B) $100 C) $150 D) $300

Nnesha (nnesha):

okay so x= producing units you have to find cost if `NO` units are produced so x would be what ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I know the answer. It is overall 300 but I want to know if this is a trick question because if you use logic the cost would be 0 because you are making nothing

Nnesha (nnesha):

lol

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so is it a trick question?

Nnesha (nnesha):

hmm so somehow they are making 300 dollar getting taxes ?? lel

Nnesha (nnesha):

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Nnesha (nnesha):

ahh yes mathematically 300 is correct send them a msg some users don't even look p at the notification :D hahah

OpenStudy (mathmate):

I don't think it's a trick question. You need to pay rent, electricity, and employee benefits even if you don't manufacture anything.
