OpenStudy (amberparrishxo):

@wnckswjd then you dont mind if i ask you a simple, random question then about a korean word?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

What is it?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

You can go on google translate and it will tell you ☺️

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what is you qustion

OpenStudy (saucvi):

What question or words did you want to know?

OpenStudy (amberparrishxo):

@becky15 @saucvi i know this is random and late, but what is the difference between pabo and babo?

OpenStudy (saucvi):

The only difference is the way you romanize them. pabo/babo is written like '바보' in hangul. The 'ㅂ' is pronounced with a sound not found in english. It is a cross between a 'b' and a 'p'. This being said, 'ㅂ' can be romanized either way. In 'oppa' it is romanized with a p '오빠'. But in 'bogoshipeo' it is romanized with a 'b', '보고싶어'. It'll get easier to figure out eventually. There is also the 'ㅍ' which is a light 'p' sound as in 'pillow'. This will always be romanized as 'p'. It is the same 'p' as found in english. If you are interested in learning korean, I highly suggest you start off with learning proper pronunciation and the alphabet. This will help you with further romanization issues. The korean alphabet is fairly easy it should not take you too long to understand. I wish you luck!! 화이팅!

OpenStudy (saucvi):

Oh and pabo means fool/idiot... but I think you knew that

OpenStudy (amberparrishxo):

@saucvi yes! thank you or gomapseumnida c: i actually do know the hangul alphabet. im working right now on the pronunciation.
