OpenStudy (anonymous):

A shrew is adapted for burrowing and a monkey for tree dwelling. Their forelimbs appear quite different from each other's, but the internal structure of the forelimbs of these two animals is same. What do you conclude from this example?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

It sounds like the forearms of the two animals are homologous. A homologous structure is a organ or bone that appear to be similar in different animals. The similarity in the bone is demonstrating that they descend from a common ancestor.
