OpenStudy (max1409):

Are the following figures similar? Yes; the corresponding angles are congruent. No; the corresponding angles are not congruent. Yes; the corresponding sides are proportional. No; the corresponding sides are not proportional.

OpenStudy (max1409):

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it is c

OpenStudy (anonymous):

correct?

OpenStudy (max1409):

you sure?

OpenStudy (campbell_st):

well if the shapes are similar then the corresponding sides are in the same ratio what is the ratio of AB: EF is it the same as BC:FG...?

OpenStudy (campbell_st):

so what is the ratio AB: EF using the side lengths its 2: 5 now look at BC : FG what side lengths do you get..?

OpenStudy (max1409):

they don't look proportional to me

OpenStudy (campbell_st):

so that's a start now its just the reasoning

OpenStudy (max1409):

No; the corresponding sides are not proportional.

OpenStudy (max1409):

i wish i can medal both of you

OpenStudy (campbell_st):

correct looking at the ratios AB:EF is 2:5 or 1:2.5 BC: FG is 10:20 or 1:2 they sides aren't in the same ratio so they aren't similar figures.
