In some states, You pay a sales tax on items you purchase.A sales tax is a percent of what a customer pays for an item that costs c dollars. The expression 0.07(c-0.05c) represents the amount of sales tax in a certain state that would be collected on an item that has been discounted by a certain percent. The expression has two factors. What does the factor c-0.05c represent?

I think ...your item total cost of your item (c) is being discounted by 5%.....because the .07 is your 7% sales tax.
So c-0.05c is the discount percent
.05 is the discount...which is 5%. It is what the price of the item would cost with the discount
c - .05c is the discount price....then you would multiply that by the .07 for the sales tax
Example... your item (c) costs $100. And you get a discount of 5% off of the item .07(c - .05c) = .07 (100 - .05(100) = .07 (100 - 5) = .07 (95) --- that 95 is the price of the item with the 5% discount 6.65 --- and this would be the sales tax
So the regular price? and one more question!
I am not sure how to word it.....it is the price of the item minus the 5% discount
I am sorry but I kinda lost track of time....I have to go now...I am so sorry :(
okay thank you
