i need help

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yes?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

What do you need help with?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

math

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[m+3n=7n=-2,0,1\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

What type of math is this? Algebra? And -2, 0, 1 are the solutions?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it is algebra1

OpenStudy (anonymous):

and idk

OpenStudy (steve816):

yeah lol what really is this...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

idk i was given it for homework

OpenStudy (steve816):

Well, I think your math teacher is drunk

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the direction say sovel for M then find the value of M in N

OpenStudy (anonymous):

or it say find the value of M for each N

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@isaac4321

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I don't know

OpenStudy (anonymous):

k

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I see that there is a m and a n. Can you copy the complete question that shows in the textbook or homework page?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes

OpenStudy (anonymous):

solve the equation for M then find the value of M for each N value \[M+3n=7n=-2,0,1\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I can help you!!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yaya

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Oh okay! Makes much more sense now. So, in order to solve for M you need n to be on the other side. In order to do that, you subtract 3n from both sides. You're then left with M = 4n correct? Now that you have M = 4n, plug in the n values and solve. M = 4(-2) M = 4(0) M = 4(1)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Smh

OpenStudy (anonymous):

My apologies for beating you to it, haha! @briannaboone18

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes i ended up with \[M=4\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Okay good, now do it for \[M = 4(-2)\] and \[M = 4(0)\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so its \[M=4(0)\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

You solve for all three. So you did the first one, now do the other two. And the three answers are all your solutions!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thansk

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thanks
