I have a question where one of the answers is 589.3 grams and another answer is 589.30 grams. How do I know which is correct? Are they the same?

They differ in the number of significant digits, see here: https://www.physics.uoguelph.ca/tutorials/sig_fig/SIG_dig.htm 589.3 has 4 sig figs and 589.30 has 5.
