OpenStudy (paki):

Maybe @paki read your choices wrong? I read his answer in which he only said that a business "letter=formal". Here's how i'll explain it: Whats up boss, Heyy man it's me Latrice U ready 4 my presentation at 2 after lunch? I dont know if its my best work but yeahhh... if so hmu!! Hope the ppl like it today! Or would you write your boss Dear "Boss", I am writing to tell you my presentation is ready for 2:00PM today. I am looking forward to presenting at the conference today. Sincerely, Latrice The first letter is a personal and informal email/letter. This is the way you would address your friends or someone you're incredibly close to. It shows your real emotions, incorrect grammar, punctuation, abbreviations styled through text, and no signature. The second letter will be the one you would send your boss. It's impersonal- you are writing without specifications on how you feel towards them or the subject at hand. You are strict to the point. It's formal because you include the greeting "Dear Boss" and correct punctuation. You also have correct diction (word choice), ie; no text talk or abbreviations. At the end you also include a signature to end your letter "Sincerely, Latirce". So which letter/email would you feel more comfortable on sending your boss? Hope this helped you hun!
