B. They Keep stories simple

Some short stories like those of Virginia Woolf are the most difficult to understand.  To say all short stories are more simple than lets say a novel is incredibly wrong.

Actually writing a story so short is more difficult for some writers.  To make something so great and compressed with beautiful metaphors, allusions, diction, structure, etc is very hard for the common writer! Hope I helped :)
