1. Review your CAP file. Make sure you have duties and responsibilities from the lesson listed in the file. 2. Circle or highlight three duties or responsibilities you think are most important. 3. Use this template to create your New Citizen Guide. The guide will explain good citizenship, give an example, and explain its importance. In your guide, you will answer four questions. For each question, you should write a paragraph that has at least three to five sentences. There are no wrong answers, but you must use information from the lesson. The questions are: What does it mean to be a good citizen? Be sure to include the three actions you listed in Step 2. What is the difference between a civic duty and a civic responsibility? Be sure to give an example for each to help explain. When have you experienced a civic duty or responsibility? You may describe the example you wrote in your CAP file. Why is it important to a community for people to have good citizenship? Be sure to give an example of what could happen when people do not show good citizenship.
