why is it important that all trial densities should be reported to 5 digits?

it is important if you  need to differentiate substances with similar density, if you have to differentiate air, wood, water, iron, lead, etc with 2 digits will be enough. But if you have to differentiate solutions of different concentrations of sugar you may need a more accurate measurement, otherwise you will be not able to  differentiate the solutions, all will have the same density.
