Hi Welcome to Openstudy! What do you need to do with that expression? Can you post the complete question please? thanks!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[97x4-(8x11)+(28x92)\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Does the x mean multiply?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ok just had to clarify. So first you can just do the things in the parentheses

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ignore the 97x4- ---> 8 x 11 = 88 ---> 28 x 92 = 2576 Now you need to add them together 88 + 2576 = 2664

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Now you have 97 x 4 - (2664)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

^ (reinsert the 97 x 4 back into the equation)

Can you figure it out from here?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes
