\[\[\frac{ 1 }{ 5 }(2x - 15) = \frac{ 1 }{ 5 }(2x) - \frac{ 1 }{ 5 }(-15) = \frac{ 2 }{ 5 }x - 3\] + \frac{ 3 }{ 5 }x = 4\frac{ 1 }{ 4 }\] Distribute

OpenStudy (calculusxy):

Well i basically distributed... \[\frac{ 2 }{ 5 }x - 3 + \frac{ 3 }{ 5 }x = 4\frac{ 1 }{ 4 }\] now combine the like terms \[\frac{ 2 }{ 5 }x + \frac{ 3 }{ 5 }x = 1x = x\] \[x - 3 = 4\frac{ 1 }{ 4 }\] add 3 to both sides \[x = 7 \frac{ 1 }{ 4 }\]

OpenStudy (calculusxy):

I think that's correct .
