Compare the functions shown below:
f(x) = 4 sin (2x − π) - 1
g(x)
x y
-1 6
0 1
1 -2
2 -3
3 -2
4 1
5 6
h(x) = (x − 2)2 + 4
Which function has the smallest minimum y-value?

I will help a damsel in distress :) lol

function my fav
OpenStudy (angiepangie123456):
Haha, it would be appreciated! Im really stuck with this question and an other
OpenStudy (anonymous):
Well with function you have always have to put the numbers in the x value

Ok, how do I do that?
OpenStudy (angiepangie123456):
f(x)
g(x)
h(x)
both f(x) and g(x) have the same minimum y value
these are my options
OpenStudy (anonymous):
okay first equation would be the f(x)= 4 sin ( 2 x - pi)-1
so the first thing on the list is -1 on the x so plug in the -1 in the x value
f(-1)=4 sin(2(-1)-pi)-1
OpenStudy (angiepangie123456):
yeah im lost. lol im sorry! I just trying to make up a few things for school so i can bring my grade up
OpenStudy (angiepangie123456):
I did this lesson like 6 months ago I wanna say
