Kalila Winston worked for a software company for 26 years. She became permanently disabled and could no longer keep her job. She was 52 years old and had planned to work until she was 62. Her final annual salary was $43,000. Her rate of benefits is 2%. What is Kalila’s monthly disability benefit to the nearest dollar? Can't seem to get it right my answer was $30,960 but its still incorrect please explain.


I Got this:
2% of 43,000 = .02(43,000) = 860 per year
divide by 12 to get per month
860/12 = 71.666 rounds to 72

I just got it!! its $2,580!! I forgot a few steps with her age i had to add 26 and 62 then subtract 52, getting 36* .02* 43000=30,960 divided by 12(:
