what actually happens when a pump trips while it was pumping to a head of 160 m with 90 litres/second at the just delivery side. the pressure waves are traversing on both sides ie. upstream and d/s. but what does the actual physical matter will change ? what will be the movement of water thereafter? i really want the behavior of matter not about the waves
