Which best describes a benefit of using DNA technology in medicine? A.Medicine can be produced in mass quantities. B.Medicine can be distributed at a reduced cost. C.Medicines have fewer side effects. D.Medicines are resistant to antibiotics.

OpenStudy (abhisar):

I'll say that medicines can be produced at mass scale at reduced cost. For example before recombinant DNA technology diabetic patients were give insulin extracted from pigs which required their slaughter. But now, a recombinant variety of e.coli can produce human insulin at much greater rate and it's relatively super cheap since you need to grow microbes rather than a whole pig.
