Which historical or contemporary architectural style appeals most to you? Describe the attributes that make it appealing to you. To what extent is this style used at present, and why? If you were an architect, what kind of style would you adopt for housing projects? For monuments and public spaces?

Also discuss the importance of the style and aesthetic values of a building in view of the fact that architectural styles and tastes vary so much from one period to another and from one region to another. If a building fulfills the purpose it is built for, do style and aesthetics matter at all? How plausible is it that there might be universal principles (principles shared by all architectural styles) guiding architectural form?
