What caused feudalism to decline? 1.Because trade increased, cities grew, and a middle class was created, the system was no longer necessary. 2.As trade increased and cities grew, the middle class became so powerful that they no longer needed a king. 3.Through the increasingly powerful middle class, the cities grew to enormous proportions. They no longer needed a political and economic system to keep trade flourishing.

The decline of feudalism was brought about by its own success. The system allowed for a new era of wealth and prosperity within Europe. However, this progress allowed people held back by the system to achieve a better standard of living. So I would go with choice 2
