I need to know methods to improve public speaking is for speech class but I need to write something first about it

Public speaking made me nervous for a really long time. If you're scared of criticism, then just don't make eye contact with anyone. If you need to write your speech out then try making sure to include something that would grab peoples attention.
Also, methods to improve public speaking could be little things like, speaking louder, making eye contact, (which can be difficult.) or even just smiling at the audience.
