OpenStudy (kaylaxscott23):

Pauses used as punctuation can confuse the listener and should be avoided. True or False

OpenStudy (dragon123mama):

i think this might be false because you use commas to represent a pause in the sentence...so... but im not sure though. it's my best educated guess

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Actually, I think it's True...because I've never heard anyone say anything but a comma used for a pause in a story or anything else. Just a educated guess as well. @kaylaxscott23

OpenStudy (anonymous):

False, because it lets the reader/listener catch their breath and think about what they have already read.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Im afraid Chelsea is correct, commas are always the correct way to indicate your readers or even in extreme cases although it is not grammatically correct people use "..." to indicate a longer pause. Also the memorandum and innuendo show that "a correct and appropriate use of punctuation can captivate an attenuate and may also be used to give a suspenseful silence". I conclude : )
