OpenStudy (anonymous):

An aeroplane of mass 5000 kg is flying at an altitude of 3 km. if the area of the wings is 50m^2 and pressure at the lower surface of wings is 0.6*10^5 pa, the pressure on the upper surface of wings is (in pascal) g=10m/s^2

OpenStudy (abhisar):

Since, the plane is perfectly balanced and flying in air. The balance on lower end must be equal to pressure on upper surface. Think, if pressure on upper surface is greater than lower surface then the plane will fall off!!

OpenStudy (irishboy123):

yes, just factor in the mass/weight of the plane \[P_{up} \times A = P_{down} \times A + mg\]
