what you need to remember about scientific notation is that its of the form
N * 10^n where N is a number between 1 and 10 ( not including 10)
OpenStudy (anonymous):
i know that
OpenStudy (welshfella):
so for the first one its 2.5 * 3 * 10^-3 * 10^-4
= 7.5 * 10 ^-7
OpenStudy (anonymous):
so 1=A?
OpenStudy (welshfella):
If the first number is not 1-10 you need to multiply/ dividethe 2 parts as appropriate

yes
OpenStudy (welshfella):
for example;-
15 * 10^ -6:-
divide 15 by 10 = 1.5
multiply 10^-6 by 10 = 10^-5
giving
1.5 * 10^-5
OpenStudy (welshfella):
any questions?
OpenStudy (anonymous):

3 = B ;p
OpenStudy (welshfella):
9.6 / 3.2 = 3
OpenStudy (anonymous):
;p typo 9.6 / 3.2 = 3 and 3.2 /10^9 = 10^17 ;p
OpenStudy (welshfella):
yes
so 2 = B
OpenStudy (anonymous):
so 2= b ;C
