OpenStudy (clongoria2):

Of the following options, what could be a possible first step in solving the eqation 8x + 3 = 2x - 15?

OpenStudy (clongoria2):

A. Adding 8x to both sides of the equation B. Adding 15 to both sides of the equation C. Adding 3 to both sides of the equation D. Adding 2x to both sides of the equation

OpenStudy (texaschic101):

you can either subtract 2x from both sides.....or subtract 8x from both sides....or subtract 3 from both sides...or add 15 to both sides

OpenStudy (clongoria2):

I know, this is why im having trouble with it. It wants me to select an option.
