PLEASE HELP. How is constructing a perpendicular bisector similar to constructing an angle bisector? how is it different?

To construct a perpendicular bisector of a line you use a compass and straight edge. The span of the compass must be greater that half the length of the line. Draw 2 arcs from each end of the line so that they intersect at 2 points , as below. Then draw the bisector through the 2 points of intersection.
