Propaganda art...
As you have read, the Romans viewed art as "propaganda." For the first half of your paper, convey your understanding of this theme by discussing one major Roman work and its practical purpose for the Empire. In the second half of your paper, explain at least two works of art in our own time that serve as "propaganda."
I'm using Aeneid for ancient Rome.
What two should I use for the second half of my paper?
Brian Moore is a modern propaganda artist who exhibits his work on his blog. Inspired by the 2009 Iran election protest and activism and censorship therein, the WWIII Propaganda Posters were conceived as a mostly playful statement on wartime, citizen journalism, censorship, and how they all play with the advent of the Internet. Based on World War II propaganda posters, the posters have been rethought in contemporary context, remixed for today’s Internet culture. Little info right there. That's what it says on his blog under the propaganda tab. I will link you for the purposes of letting you see the work. http://briiiiian.com/wwiii-posters/
Okay. Thank you. I'll check it out
