Kylie has $70 to spend on clothes. She wants to buy a pair of jeans for $30 and spend the rest on t-shirts. Each t-shirt costs $8. Which inequality represents the number of t-shirts she can purchase? x ≥ 5 x ≤ 5 x ≤ 11 x ≥ 11

x<5 thats the answer

imqwerty (imqwerty):

ok so she spent $30 on jeans so now the money left with her=$70-$30=$40 and now she is gonna buy t-shirts she has $40 in hand and each t-shirt costs $8 so maximum t-shirts that she can buy=$40/$8 =5 she at the max she can buy 5 t-shirts but if she wants she can buy less than 5 too :) but she can't buy more than 5 cause she is not having that much money [̲̅$̲̅(̲̅( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°))̲̅$̲̅] so we can represent the number of t-shirts she can buy as - \[x \le 5\]
