Please help! I will fan and medal you! A 24 pack of water bottles is $3.98. How much is each bottle? AND A 32 pack of water bottles is $4.98. How much is each water bottle.

@Hero

OpenStudy (zzr0ck3r):

\(\dfrac{4.98}{32}\)

OpenStudy (zzr0ck3r):

we take the cost of all of them, and divide it by the number Just like if 4 of something cost 1 dollar. then each one is 1/4 of a dollar i.e. 25cents

OpenStudy (zzr0ck3r):

do the first one like I did the second one

OpenStudy (anonymous):

That would be 0.155625? That doesn't seem to make much sense...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what you would do is divide the price of the water pack by how many water bottles are in the pack. So..3.98/24.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Okay, so the first one would be 15 cents and the second one would be 15 cents.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i mean 12 cents

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the first one would be .16583 and the three is repeating

OpenStudy (anonymous):

.155625, rounded it would be .16, would be the second one. Do you see how that works?
