what were the twin goals of protestantism?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

During which period? The goals of the protestants during the German Peasant's War were that; Each prince would have the right to determine the religion of his own state, the options being Roman Catholicism, Lutheranism, and Calvinism. (the principle of cuius regio, eius religio) Christians living in principalities where their denomination was not the established church were guaranteed the right to practice their faith in public during allotted hours and in private at their will. There are lots of references to the 'twin goals of protestantism and plunder' of the buccaneers during the Elizabethan era.
