Anyone know what this mean or What I'm support to do ? Here the question: Sheet 2 of the attached spreadsheet is to be completed to display a dependency graph of the given data points. Make sure that your points are linked by segments.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Plot the points on a coordinate graph, and then try to find the line that goes through the points, assuming it is a linear pattern.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

any example on how to that ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you mean, example online?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes i guess

OpenStudy (mathmate):

@Andresfon12 Is this a math question or Excel question? Answer depends on what to expect.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

more like a statistic question dealing with excel

OpenStudy (mathmate):

So is your answer supposed to be in Excel commands, or a general description? Your answer could be an pen-and-paper plot, or it must be in Excel? I interpret it to be the latter case.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

need to be in excel but i can do it on paper then excel after

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I got go now I guess i will closed this question when i get back

OpenStudy (mathmate):

To do the first part that shows a graph of the scattered plot linked by a straight line, 1. mark the two columns of data (include the heading if you wish) 2. choose "[insert]-[scatter (under charts)]-[scatter with straight line and markers] and you're done. It will be obvious that a regression line would fit the data quite will, with a coefficient of correlation of 0.998

OpenStudy (mathmate):

If you need to find the regression line, follow instructions of the following link with examples. http://cameron.econ.ucdavis.edu/excel/ex52bivariateregression.html The equation is \(approximately\) y (estimated) = 2000-20x

thx so much
