Jane only bake cakes on Saturday and her customers must preorder them. Because of the constraint of her kitchen and oven she could only bake 10 cakes. Through past experience 85% of her customers honour their order. To minimize lost of profit she will accept 12 orders. She will have to disappoint her 11th and 12th customers if all decided to honour their orders. What is that probability? What is the expected number of customers she will disappoint? What assumptions you need to assume to perform your calculation?
Hi, do you understand a little bit of what the problem wants or none at all?
Hi @Felicity214 Hmm best to assume none at all, I only just started learning about random variable and expected value.
What level of math is this for?
A college introductory statistic class, a practice problem. Under section random variables, expected value.
Wow. Not on that level yet. I'm just taking algebra rwo
sorry, I guess that means I can't help. Why don't you place this in the qualified helper section?
Qualified helper need money I guess
