match the function or description with the structure. release neurotransmitters--- has receptors for neurotransmitters ---- has postsynaptic membranes --- has presynaptic membranes --- choices: axon, axon collateral, dendrites,glial cells, olidendrocytes, axon initial segment
@Jhannybean
have you got the book with you?
Just look up the definitions in the back :)
yeah buts its a trick questions i have done that it doesn't work
Hmm... im not really familiar with these definitions :\ sorry
do you know what schwann cells function as?
they help with nerve regeneration and are used in protecting the myelin sheath?
here are my choices it can be more than one answer. electrical insulator nodes of ranvier postsynaptic membranes myelin sheaths in the CNS
Definitely not the last option since they are found in the PNS, or peripheral nervous system
nodes of ranvier are the gaps between the myelin sheath where the electrical impulses liek jump from one node to another I believe
i think its just electrical insulators
i have one more question if you can help me out: i need to find the matching neuron with description: has axon collateral synapsying with neuron---- has dendrites synapsing with a muscle or gland --- has axon collateral synapsing with a muscle or gland -- has dendrites synapsing with a receptot the choices are: interneuron, efferent neuron, afferent neuron, none of these
i know what the choices mean but I'm having a heard time putting it together.
