thanks for quick reply. edges means intersection of plane surfaces but in cone there is no plane surface. and one more thing, three or more plane intersect at a point, known as vertex. and curved surface is made up of innumerable plane surfaces, means cone has one vertex. and face is what we consider a flat surface, and cone doesn't have flat surface. all this consideration created a lot of confusion. so expecting more help from your side. thanks in advance.
