Negative number multiplied by a negative number equals to a positive number.

when multiplying/dividing with signs... if the signs are different, then the answer is negative. if the signs are the same, the answer is positive

but don't get these rules mixed up for when you are adding/subtracting with signs.....because these have a different set of rules
