Dan used 0.14 of the total milk in the container. Mike used 0.5 gallon of the total milk in the container. Who used the greatest amount of milk from the container? Show your work and explain your answer in words

OpenStudy (breanna1999):

Mike

OpenStudy (breanna1999):

He used .5 which is 50%

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes I agree :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what about 0.14? :(

OpenStudy (breanna1999):

That would be 14%

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thats what i dont get?

@OregonDuck

OpenStudy (anonymous):

It would be Mike, just like @breanna1999 said because you would have to convert the decimals to percentages so 13%, 14%, and 50%.

OpenStudy (breanna1999):

To take a number like .14 and turn it into a percentage you must move it two spaces to the left and you'd get 14 then you add the percent sign 14%

oregonduck (oregonduck):

So, Let's get all of the values into decimal form. 13% --> 0.13 times 6 0.14 times 6 0.50 0.78 0.84 0.50 Dan used the most milk.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

idk only 7th grade lol

oregonduck (oregonduck):

@KayleeMullins the answer is 0.14

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oregonduck (oregonduck):

yeah true so amy
