OpenStudy (countrygirl1431):

Solve |2x + 1| = 10

OpenStudy (breanna1999):

Subtract one from both sides then divide by two

OpenStudy (countrygirl1431):

i cant figure the fractions?

OpenStudy (peridot):

Anything inside absolute value sign is positive, so first it would be: 2x + 1 = 10; we simplify from there -1 -1 2x=10, means that we divide each side by 2 x=5. If you mean fractions, do you mean the 2x=10 part?

OpenStudy (countrygirl1431):

its 2x=9 you have to divide 9 by 2

OpenStudy (peridot):

^whoops I said 10 lol, tyvm for correcting :S

OpenStudy (countrygirl1431):

not a problem i know up to that after that im lost

OpenStudy (dehelloo):

This video follows up the process https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AAAb1v1120U
