−8a^2(a + 1) + 3a(a^2 − 8) − a^2(a + 5) Simplify the Expression I keep getting -6a^3+4a^2-24a but the website i do my homework on keeps saying it's wrong.

OpenStudy (firekat97):

I think its -6a^3 - 13a^2 - 24a

OpenStudy (firekat97):

because... -8a^2 ( a + 1) + 3a (a^2 - 8) - a^2( a + 5) = -8a^3 - 8a^2 + 3a^3 -24a - a^3 - 5a^2 = -6a^3 - 13a^2 -24a
