@ospreytriple A right?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I don't understand the funky square brackets. What do they mean?

OpenStudy (vera_ewing):

I think they're just like parentheses...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Don;t think so. I'll see if I can find out what it means.

OpenStudy (vera_ewing):

@satellite73

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Sorry. Can't find it. So I don't know the answer to the question. But I'm certain it isn't A. Good luck.

OpenStudy (vera_ewing):

I think it's D...

OpenStudy (lynfran):

the reason i think its last option let d=3 days then 125*3=375 so in 3 days the cost for renting a car would be 375..., where d=d 125(3-1) if d<d we get 125(2) where d<d so 250 where d <d and since in 3 days d=375 ...we see that using this ... 250 is less than 375

OpenStudy (vera_ewing):

Ok thanks so much!

OpenStudy (lynfran):

if you use the 3rd option we get let d=3 days then 125(3+1) which =500 is not less than 375

OpenStudy (abb0t):

The double use of brackets indicates integer to "d" for instance, [[1]] = 1 [2.7]] = 3 etc.,
