so you have to fill in the table?
i think you should use a calculator
I've tried, but think I am not entering it correctly as I am getting it wrong constantly
what would be the correct way?
how do you know you are getting it wrong?
I'm doing this class online and my answers are constantly coming back as wrong
( [ 3.9 / ( 3.9 + 1 ) ] - [ 4 / 5 ] ) / ( 3.9 / 4 )
what do you get for the first entry in the table?
why would it be ( [ 3.9 / ( 3.9 + 1 ) ] - [ 4 / 5 ] ) / ( 3.9 / 4 ) instead of ( [ 3.9 / ( 3.9 + 1 ) ] - [ 4 / 5 ] ) / ( 3.9 - 4 )
um, yeah ( [ 3.9 / ( 3.9 + 1 ) ] - [ 4 / 5 ] ) / ( 3.9 - 4 ) is right. (whoops)
What do you get
Refer to the attachment from Mathematica v9
You can use a software like Mathematica and use a table
Or a spreadsheet program like MS Excel
what use is software if you don't understand what you are doing ? @robtobey
Thank You guys, I guess I was just typing it in wrong because your way worked @UnkleRhaukus
Oh these softwares actually will help both visually and analytically by means of table what is going on with approaches and limits
