OpenStudy (slayer8001):

If a line contains the point (0, -1) and has a slope of 2, then which of the following points also lies on the line? (2, 1) (1, 1) (0, 1)

OpenStudy (slayer8001):

@peachpi

OpenStudy (firekat97):

do you know how to work out the equation of a line in point gradient form?

OpenStudy (slayer8001):

no

OpenStudy (firekat97):

okay so use this equation: (y - {any y coordinate which lies on the line}) = m (x - {the x coordinate that goes with the y coordinate}) note: m is the slope or gradient. SO sub in your coordinate and slope into that equation first
