Can someone help me with this? I'm not entirely sure how to get this done, if one of you wouldn't mind walking me through it. (6x^-2)^2(0.5x)^4

OpenStudy (anonymous):

do you need the solution?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I'm not sure how to do it. I've never seen it and I don't know what I'm supposed to do with the ^-2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

do you know the meaning of the symbol ^ ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

That's showing the little number over the bigger one.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no , it means exponential

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Oh, I was told that's what you put when writing the little number at the top. The original problem, the 2s and 4 are the little numbers.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what do you meant by little number?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

like when you write 4x4x4x4, it'd be simplified to 4 with a little 4 on top.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Dunno if you can see this, but this is the problem.
