Organic compounds are a very wide variety of molecules. A holistic definition for 'organic molecule' would be all the compounds that are made by living organisms, but are not otherwise found in nature.
As such nucleotides are a very specific type of organic molecule, which the organism makes from less specialised precursor organic molecules such as sugars, phosphate groups, etc.
