OpenStudy (saucvi):

I already did A and B. I know how to solve Part C but I don't know what to factor in for x. Use the functions f(x) = 5x − 12 and g(x) = 11x + 2 to complete the function operations listed below. Part A: Find (f + g)(x). Show your work. (3 points) Part B: Find (f ⋅ g)(x). Show your work. (3 points) Part C: Find f[g(x)]. Show your work. (4 points)

OpenStudy (campbell_st):

f(g(x)) means take g(x) and substitute it into f(x) in place of x so f[g(x)] = 5(11x + 2) -12 now simplify the answer

OpenStudy (saucvi):

@campbell_st ah okay you simplify that to get your answer? Thanks so much.

OpenStudy (campbell_st):

that's correct
