Find the surface area of f(x)=5x, x[0,2] revolving around the x-axis. If rotated around the x-axis, the shape created is a cone, so I figured if I wanted the area I could just use the equation for a triangle, but I'm not sure if that's correct.

OpenStudy (irishboy123):

google and you will find the formula for the surface area of a cone. eg \(SA = πr2 + πrl\) but make sure you know what the letters stand for before proceeding

OpenStudy (irishboy123):

typo, make that:\[SA = πr^2 + πrl\]
