@jim_thompson5910

OpenStudy (anonymous):

a. an=1/3(27)^n-1 b. an=27(1/3)^n-1 c. an=1/3(3)^n-1 d. an=3(1/2)^n-1

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

hint: look at the y coordinates and form a sequence of them

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok the y-coordinates are=9,3,1

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

you have in them in reverse order it should be 1,3,9

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

when n = 2, the term is 1 when n = 3, the term is 3 when n = 4, the term is 9

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so it's being multiplied by 3! Would the answer be C?

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

yep that's the only one with r = 3

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thank-you so much!

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

np
