Why do people ask for help, receive help, and not give gratitude? Seems like there is no motivation to learn, just give me the answer so I can feign competence.

Even so, you try to walk someone through a problem and they just throw out random guesses hoping to hit.

A lot of people use this website for quick schoolwork answers, like a test, for example. The best solution is to show them how to do the problem, and not just GIVE them the answer.
