Need help with a question please(:

OpenStudy (liv1234):

OpenStudy (astrophysics):

Hey lets put it as |x+1|<7 now since we're dealing with absolute values we will have two solutions \[-(x+1)<7 \] and \[(x+1)<7\]

OpenStudy (astrophysics):

Solve for x and plot it

OpenStudy (astrophysics):

The interval will be between those two points

OpenStudy (liv1234):

When I solved the equation I got -8 < x < 6. And I wasn't sure if that was right or not and if it is, I'm confused as to where I'm supposed to plot it.

OpenStudy (liv1234):

And I was confused as to if the answer is either A or B.

OpenStudy (astrophysics):

-8 and 6 there is only one here that is right

OpenStudy (liv1234):

So, is it A or B?

OpenStudy (astrophysics):

Yup, remember it's better -8 and 6

OpenStudy (liv1234):

B?

OpenStudy (astrophysics):

Exactly!

OpenStudy (liv1234):

Thank you!

OpenStudy (astrophysics):

Yw

OpenStudy (liv1234):

Could you help me check another question? @Astrophysics

OpenStudy (liv1234):

I'm pretty sure it's B.
