you need to use the method of 'distribution' of the 5 into the brackets. This means that EACH term in the brackets is multiplied by 5 you could break it up like 5 *(2x) - 5*(3)
1 Distribute 5×2x+5×−3 2 Simplify 5×2x to 10x 10x+5×−3 3 Simplify 5×−3 to −15 10x+−15 4 Simplify 10x−15
so is 10x-15 the answer?
